Visa unveils Visa Masters of Movement program to bring together football, art and NFTs for fans ahead of Qatar 2022 World Cup
Visa. FIFA’s Official Payments Technology Partner today launched Visa Masters of Movement, a first-of-its-kind hybrid experience that offers fans pre-match NFT auctions and immersive activations during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
According to a press release shared with Coinjournal, the Visa Masters of Movement auction features Crypto art inspired by the iconic goals of some legendary footballers.
Digital art has been minted into unique NFTs that are now available on the Crypto.com platform. The experience will come to life on the interactive pitch at the FIFA Fan Festival in Doha, Qatar later this month, Visa added.
The event will allow fans to create Crypto art inspired by their own iconic moves. Visa explained that eligible fans can choose to mint this Crypto art into their own NFTs by partnering with Crypto.com, the official cryptocurrency exchange sponsor of the FIFA 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Commenting on this latest development, Visa Senior Vice President and Head of Sponsorships Andrea Fairchild said:
“As the 2022 FIFA World Cup approaches, we want to celebrate football, art and technology through the lens that makes the FIFA World Cup so special – passionate fans, legendary athletes, and bringing the world in just a few weeks in a way unique way of connecting together.”

Visa has revealed that from today (12:00pm GMT) until November 8 (9:00pm GMT), soccer fans around the world can bid on Visa Masters of Movement NFTs on Crypto.com.
The team explained that the auction brings together five unique artworks inspired by the iconic FIFA World Cup and FIFA Women’s World Cup goals from legendary football stars: Jared Borgetti, Tim Cahill, Carli Lloyd, Michael Owen and Maxi Rodriguez NFTs.
Proceeds from the auction will be donated to Street Child United, a charity registered and operating in the UK, Visa added.
This isn’t the first time Visa and Crypto.com have collaborated. Last month, Crypto.com announced that it would add Google Pay and Apple Pay support for Visa card users in Canada.
Last year, Visa executive Cuy Sheffield said demand for NFTs has pushed mainstream consumers towards cryptocurrencies.
