According to PANews May 26 news, according to The Block, two people familiar with the matter said that the focus of encryption venture capital firm Paradigm has gone beyond the blockchain, and will focus on a wider range of “cutting-edge technologies” including artificial intelligence. The company’s website profile has also been changed to a “research-driven technology investment firm” rather than one that specializes in investing in “disruptive encryption/Web3 companies and protocols.” Paradigm was co-founded in 2018 by Coinbase co-founder Fred Ehrsam and former Sequoia Capital partner Matt Huang. In November 2021, the company will complete financing of US$2.5 billion. Its portfolio includes well-known companies such as Uniswap, OpenSea, and Fireblocks. As of now, Paradigm has invested in more than 100 crypto startups.
