Ethereum client Parity was renamed to OpenEthereum and the first version was released

According to the news, after the former Ethereum client Parity was renamed “OpenEthereum”, the first version 3.0 was officially released, and Gnosis became one of the project’s maintenance and developers. In order to manage this project, Gnosis received an initial grant of $ 150,000 from the Ethereum Foundation. Gnosis is also hiring Rust developers and project managers for the project. For OpenEthereum version 3.0, the code license authorization is updated to GPLv3, a large amount of account data is deleted to reduce the size of the database, code cleanup and dependency update, etc. Parity has developed and maintained the Ethereum client Parity Ethereum since 2015, based on the Rust language. Lianwen reported at the end of last year that Parity Technologies announced that the code and maintenance methods of the Ethereum client Parity will be transferred to decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) ownership. Organizational collaboration provides the basis to ensure its future development potential.
