Elon Musk has apparently turned his attention away from the social media platform Twitter and is racing towards another new project. Musk is now planning a ‘city’ for Tesla, Boring and SpaceX workers
According to the “Wall Street Journal” report, Musk has acquired 3,500 acres of land (approximately 14.16 square kilometers) in Texas, which he will use to build towns for employees. The town will be named “Snailbrook,” a name inspired by the Boring Company’s mascot.
The Wall Street Journal news story cited the county’s compact. As well as emails and internal communications to county officials. It also said that Boring employees have been invited to apply for residents of the new city. Two- and three-bedroom houses rent for about $800 a month.
It’s possible that Snailbrook is located in Bastrop County, near Austin, Texas, as Musk has set up factories in this Texas area for years for Tesla, Boring, and SpaceX.
Last year, Tesla opened a new manufacturing plant in Austin after Musk moved from California to Texas in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Additionally, the City of Snailbrook will include a Montessori school for children and will hold its own mayoral election.
